Festool Guide Rail Guide
QUICK GUIDES
The guide rail is synonymous with Festool
The guide rail and the Festool brand go hand-in-hand. After all, who else other than the inventor can look fondly back over 40 years of experience? Festool applies a wealth of experience in producing guide systems and accessories for the most demanding applications, continuously striving to achieve perfect working results more quickly, easily and efficiently.
The FS/2 guide rail
Festool FS guide rails are available in eight different lengths from 32” to 197”, providing the right rail for every application. Simply lay the guide rail on the workpiece and align the splinter guard flush with the scribe line. Now place your Festool circular saw on the guide rail. The guide rib on the rail engages the guide slot on the tool, ensuring precision cutting every time. You save time and money by eliminating laborious measurements, rework and wasted material.
The Festool guide system is also an ideal solution for routing work at an angle or on the outer edge of work-pieces. The guide cannot slip if secured with the FSZ clamp. This prevents reworking and spoiled work-pieces.
Hole drilling
The FS-LR 32 hole drilling system makes it easy to produce rows of holes for cabinets, casework, furniture, and shelf supports. The router is positioned precisely by an indexing pin. Recesses for hardware fittings like hinges can also be routed precisely between the holes on a 32mm grid pattern. This method is highly economical for production.
Soft, non-slip
The soft, non-slip strip prevents damage to the work-piece and holds the guide rail securely in place without clamping or taping. This protects sensitive, high quality materials and prevents time-consuming rework. The saw blades smoothly on the guide rail, so that you can guide the saw easily with a precision that will remain constant over years of use.
Guided cuts at any bevel angle
With Festool, the scribe line is always the cutting edge – even on angles between 45° and 90°. And with the FSW angle unit and a guide rail, you can quickly set angles of 0° to 45° on either side. This allows you to cut boards and panels to any size at any desired angle, quickly, safely and accurately.
Festool guide rails are equipped with a patented splinter guard. A rubber lip pressing along the scribe line ensures cut edges are splinter and tear-out free.
