Festool Saw Guide

The beauty of precision
Festool brings panel saw precision to a portable circular saw. Festool invented the guide rail over 40 years ago and are constantly setting new standards with the plunge-cut saws. Together, they are representative of a strength that makes Festool so unique: Thinking in a system.

“Precision” is not a quality normally associated with jigsaws. However, Festool engineers have added a new level of precision to the Festool line of jigsaws. Wandering cuts, unattractive splintering and time-consuming rework are virtually eliminated through the use of Festool’s ingenious system solutions.

Festool SawThe quicker way for a cleaner cut
Modern portable circular saws have to meet many requirements, particularly related to versatility and portability, though almost all lack precision elements. Festool plunge-cut saws deliver the precision of bench or stationary tools with the versatility and portability of traditionally circular saws. The guide rail and splinter guard ensure that cuts are as straight as they are splinter free.

Similarly, most jigsaws deliver on versatility and portability, but are deficient in the area of precision. This lack of precision is primarily related to a single problem – blade wander, or deflection. So Festool invented a three way blade guide to provide tradesmen with the precision necessary to get the job done – the first time. The result is a straight cut – every time.

The TS 55 EQ
Portable circular saws often react unexpectedly. They wander offline and are subject to play. It’s a quick way to ruin expensive material. But not if you use the Festool plunge saw and guide rail. The saw blade makes its cut absolutely straight and splinter-free. Perpendicular or even beveled, the choice is yours. The cut line is the same for either cut. As a plunge-cut saw, it can start and end a cut accurately anywhere on the material.

Equally important, on the TS 55 EQ (as well as the TS 75 EQ), the saw blade and riving knife retract into the housing, unlike conventional saws, where the blade guard retracts instead of the blade, which means greater safety.

Festool SawThe TS 75 EQ
Cut as straight as a panel saw with the versatility of a portable saw. The TS 75 EQ has a multitude of uses, from fine cabinetry to cutting spiral staircase steps; from truing rough lumber to cutting out window frames in renovation work. The TS 75 EQ is a larger saw with more power and great cutting depth than the TS 55 EQ.

As with the TS 55 EQ, the saw blade and the riving knife retract into the housing, an improvement over conventional circular saws. This translates, of course, to great intrinsic safety for the user.

Try the TS 75 EQ once and you’ll never look back.

The Trion PS 300 EQ and PSB 300 EQ
Most jigsaws have a hard time staying on course. Tough work-pieces and curves can easily cause the blade to deflect. The result is time-consuming finishing work like sanding or even recutting. The Festool Trion solves the problem. Adjustable carbide-tipped jaws provide three-way blade guidance to ensure that the blade is perpendicular to the table at all times, even in curves. A splinter guard protects against chipping, leaving you with a clean, precise cut through the entire depth of the work-piece, with little or no finishing.
