Soft or Super Soft, That is the Question
Whether 'tis nobler to sand my little dovetails with a SOFT or SUPER SOFT sanding pad...well, truth be told I can't remember which one I have but the one I do have is superb. I read a review online from a guy who was complaining that they simply fell to pieces. Not the case in my experience. Mine eventually needing replacing after catching a screw. But I'm delighted with the replacement.

Floats Over Surfaces
I think I accidentally bought this pad, intending to instead buy the "super soft." However, I have not been disappointed. I was working on an auto body type finish, sanding a very sensitive clear coat from 80 all the way up to 2000. I found this pad to float on the surface nicely, forgiving some of the small imperfections and undulations in the surface, while still bringing the clear coat to a high polish.
