Festool Warranty
Festool offers a 3-year warranty, one of the longest in the industry. This warranty is valid on the pre-condition that the tool is used and operated in compliance with the Festool operating instructions. Festool warrants that the specified tool will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a term of 3 years from the date of purchase.
Conditions of 1 + 2 warranty
You are entitled to a free extended warranty (1 year + 2 years = 3 years) for your Festool power tool. Festool is responsible for all shipping costs during the first year of the warranty. During the second and third year of the warranty the customer is responsible for shipping the tool to Festool. Festool will pay for return shipping to the customer using UPS Ground Service. All warranty service is valid 3 years from the date of original purchase on your receipt or invoice.
Festool makes no other warranty, express or implied, for Festool portable power tools. No agent, representative, distributor, dealer, or employee of Festool has the authority to increase or otherwise change the obligations or limitations of this warranty. The obligations of Festool in its sole discretion under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of any Festool portable power tool that is found to be defective as packaged with the User Manual.
Excluded from the coverage under this warranty are: normal wear and tear; damages caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect; damage caused by anything other than defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not apply to accessory items such as circular saw blades, drill bits, router bits, jigsaw blades, sanding belts, and grinding wheels. Also excluded are "wearing parts," such as carbon brushes, lamellas of air tools, rubber collars and seals, sanding discs and pads, and batteries.
Festool portable power tools requiring replacement or repair are to be returned to Festool. Call (800) 554-8741 for address details. In no event shall Festool be liable for any consequential or incidental damages for breach of this or any other warranty, express or implied whatsoever. All warranties implied by state law, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby limited to the duration of three years.
Some states in the U.S. do not allow the limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. With the exception of any warranties implied by state or province law as hereby limited, the foregoing express limited warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, guarantees, agreements, and similar obligations of Festool.

Great ergonomics, with plenty of power to get the job done. Depth adjustment is accurate and simple.
Used to have a major portion of my shop dedicated to ripping oversize lumber (plywood, laminated plywood and wide hardwood), since purchasing this tool we are able to do all oversize lumber ripping in about 1/4 of the previously dedicated area. We now have about twice the area for cabinet assembly and this is really a plus as we currently tight on space.
If you are ripping (and I guess crosscutting) large pieces of lumber this tool is a must. We have seen little to no rip out on any type of wood.

Much easier than lifting a full sheet of plywood on top of the table saw. Very smooth cuts, almost no chipout. I still use the table saw occasionally but most of the time I use the festool.

The cornerstone of the Festool line, this thing is nothing short of amazing. I originally balked at the price but after owning it for a week I wondered how I've made it this long without it. That was 2 years ago.
Having used other tracksaws on the market, this one reigns supreme. The guide rail stick like glue to almost any surface. I rarely use the clamps anymore. Plunge into your workpiece and the spring loaded riving knife drops into the kerf as soon as you start moving forward. Great safety feature. Every time I use this thing I get comments and people asking how hard it is to use. I usually let them make a cut and their eyes light up. That's usually all it takes. If you only buy one Festool product in your lifetime (and since you're reading this that is not very likely :) make it the the TS 55.

Great ergonomics, great power, great circuitry/ quiet start is easy on the motor. Depth adjustment accurate and simple.
Systainer keeps all together. Detachable cords, as with all other Festool, is great.
Cuts made with this saw at 90 degrees are a pleasure: the cut happens right on the line; no math involved in 'setting back' the guide edge. What is amazing, is that when a cut is made at any angle, even a 45 degree cut, the cut is still on the line. Can't say enough about the quality and speed this engineered feature offers!!!

I don't have room in my shop for a full size table saw, and a lot of my cuts are at unusual angles. I was used to working with straight edges and x-acto knives with various materials, and the TS 55, in combination with the Festool guide rail, works in much the same way when cutting wood. The guide rail allows you to get the perfect cut every time, with supreme precision. A great tool!

The saw is great for sheet goods like plywood, MDF, etc. I've cut thin aluminum and solid surface with the specialty blades and it has performed well. The blade depth can reach nearly 2" but the saw almost always shuts itself down during a cut into solid woods 1" and thicker. Part of this issue is the United States' 120V power, it's a sacrifice over 240V power supply in other countries. I find that if I want to collect dust, I have to plug the saw into one circuit and the vac into another, the higher the vac is set, the less power that makes it to the saw. I find using one of the Panther rip blades alleviates this a bit. I haven't tried the TS75 yet to compare performance. Always use with the guiderails, the plunge action can be dangerous freehand.

Offer a model with a laser beem feature. This would help with longer cuts and improve accuracy, even when used with the guide.
